What’s the deal with Monday Motivation? I see posts about this throughout social media and all over the web. And, I have to tell you, I rarely feel very motivated on Mondays. The reason? Let’s face it. Mondays are hard. I will even go a step further and say that sometimes they downright suck. But, I have found that it helps to begin each day with the right mindset. This is especially true on Mondays.
Monday Motivation you can actually accomplish
Don’t think about all of the things you might not be able to get done, and focus instead on the things you can actually accomplish.
To Do Lists
I used to make these long To Do lists every day, and then endlessly carry most of the items over to the next day and the day after that. It was so frustrating and self-defeating.
Top 5 List
Recently I’ve learned to pair that down into a top 5 list for the day, and sometimes just a top 3 list. That allows me the flexibility to work through the other items on my list once the daily priorities have been checked off.
This doesn’t always work. And there are days when I feel completely overwhelmed and unproductive, but I am always trying to do better and get more of the important things done.
